Made from durable stainless steel with a spring return lever for better usability comfort, these components offer a standard output of 0 to 5kΩ, coherent mounting patterns for better compliance with the standards used in the industry, and a safety mechanical stop at the full-on position. Additionally, most of the available potboxes feature a built-in safety microswitch so they do not need a pedal-actuated one to be installed on top of the assembly. The lever arm has several holes machined on it so that the user may set the potentiometer rotation at the desired amount based on the specific accelerator pedal throw. All pot boxes by Curtis are relatively compact in size and weight about 280 grams, so the overall load burden due to them in a vehicle or assembly is practically negligible.
