Model 1242 is part of the second generation of Curtis SepEx controllers that are equipped with the MultiMode system that allows users to take the most out of a single controller by seamlessly interchanging its performance modes at will. Built up to the highest manufacturing standards, this controller is suitable for speed control of motors that are used in industrial environments and in material handling trucks. This is also reflected by its rugged casing that achieves an IP53 sealing rating, while it is also exceptionally resilient against shocks and continuous vibration. 1242 combines a full and a half-bridge armature controllers so as the tasks of motor reversing and regenerative braking are efficiently carried out without the need for additional relays or contactors. The controller is compatible with the requirements of ISO and EEC fault detection standards, and it is compatible with both 1307 and 1311 of Curtis handheld programmers that can be used for setting up the operation parameters or perform self-testing and diagnostics analysis. Finally, the 1242 controller has the HPD (High Pedal Disable) and SRO (Static Return to Off) safety systems integrated and activated by default.
