The Curtis model 1225 are permanent magnet motor speed controllers that are especially suitable for use with small and light electric vehicles that use powering systems of 24 to up to 36 volts. Typical uses include industrial floor scrubbers, AGVs, and walkies. Their MOSFET unit allows infinitely variable driving and braking control, while it limits the energy losses and noise generation. The programming of the 1225 controller can be achieved by using the 1307 handheld programmer through which the user may also check the diagnostics of the device. When accelerating or decelerating, the controller is applying a smart response to make it smoother, while it is also equipped with a load compensation speed stabilizing system, a key-off decel function, the Curtis High Pedal Disable (HPD) system, and anti-rollback and anti-rollforward circuitry. Finally, 1225 is fully protected against over and under-current, uses advanced thermal protection systems, and is compliant with the ISO 7176 fault detection standard that ensures no accidents will happen in the case that there is an operational problem with the throttle.
