Description

One of the most common problems that forklifts face is leaking, especially in their brake wheel cylinder. It doesn’t just impair the forklift but also stops operations. If you are a forklift owner or operator who notices leaking and noises for this particular machine part, you might need to consider a replacement.

Our Forklift Caterpillar Wheel Cylinder is made of the finest materials that can withstand heavy-duty site operations. It consists of a cylinder alongside two pistons placed on both sides. When a forklift operator or driver presses the brake, the pistons aid the brake shoes to make contact with the drum. The wheel cylinder functions by assisting the braking system of the forklift. It helps the forklift when it is needed to stop using friction.

How to replace or install the new wheel cylinder:

  • Block the forklift from rolling out of place. You can use a jack to place it under the frame. This step is to avoid any accident.

  • Shift all of the tires, brake shoes, and brake drums to properly spray the hydraulic line and fitting using a penetration spray.

  • Disconnect the brake fitting from the wheel cylinder.

  • Remove the retaining bolts that hold the cylinder in its place.

  • Simply replace the old wheel cylinder with your newly purchased product.

  • After installing the new equipment, bleed the cylinder by simply loosening the bleed screw. Failure to do this step will result in brake system damage.

  • Test your new wheel cylinder.

Identifying the correct Forklift Caterpillar Wheel Cylinder for you to buy:

  • Measure the size of your wheel cylinder for reference

  • Brand compatibility

  • Bracket compatibility with your existing wheel cylinder

  • Materials used and condition of the equipment

  • Lastly, the price, payment method, shipping, and store warranty
