Summary
This technical document explains the anchor bolt and pins and the types of the anchor bolt. The document also described the proper installation of the anchor bolt in your forklift.
Anchor bolts are used to fix objects and are necessary for securing any connected objects. They help support the load by connecting the chain to the mast. Mostly, the forklift uses the chain anchor bolt. A forklift's chain anchor bolts are designed to balance the load on the mast, and they must be larger and stronger than the leaf chains attached to them.

Various types of anchor bolt
Double-end rods with plate
An added washer is added to one end of the double-ended rods of these anchor bolts. Anchor bolts can be joined directly to the plate, or a nut can be tacked. Different bolt standards, including F1554-36, F1554-55, F1554-105, A307, A193 B7, as well as many stainless steel grades, can be found for these bolts.
L-shaped anchor bolt
Various applications, including sign structures, heavy equipment, light poles, and tooling, require the use of these L-shaped anchor bolts. The diameter of these L-shaped bolts is 3/8"-2.5", and all lengths are available.
Swedge bolt
There are indentions on one end of Swedged Bolts to pass through. A swedge bolt consists of a threaded round bar at one end and a swedged bar at the other end. Swagel bolts are usually hot-dipped plated and are available in diameters ranging from 5/8" to 4".

Headed anchor bolt
It generally has a heavy hex, hex, or square serviced on the unthreaded side. Headed anchor bolts are usually used for anchoring masonry. A193 B7, A307, F1554-36, F1554-105, F1554-55, and different grades of stainless steel are some of the anchor bolt standards available in heads. Headed anchor bolts have different diameters and lengths and various steel grades.
Forklift anchor pin
Ball valve anchor pins are welded directly to their bodies. While the valve is being operated, the pin keeps the gear operator and adapter plate aligned. The anchor pin is available in various sizes and in various materials. Some of the basic features of a forklift anchor pin are:
Rust resistance
Higher tensile strength and
Rust resistance

Where to find the anchor point in the forklift?
Many modern forklifts have a cover over the anchor point that has a symbol identifying it as such, so it is easy to find an anchor point as the bolt will already be in place.
It happens that there will sometimes be just a threaded hole where anchor bolts and fittings will need to be inserted.
Signs for replacing the anchor bolt
Forklift bolts are expected to last a lifetime if they remain rust-free. For preventing the anchor bolt from rusting, the surface of the bolt is coated with zinc-nickel plating and phosphate and zinc coating. Besides, the chain anchor isn’t moved so that there is no wear on the parts that ensures the long service life of the bolt. Further, the pin that secures the chain to the anchor bolt must be replaced following damage from vibration.
How to install the anchor bolt?
Attach the bolt to the anchor bracket by pushing it through the anchor bracket and adding a washer.
The anchor bracket should be raised to the level of the surrounding trim if necessary by adding one or more spacers under it.
When tightening the anchor bolt, use a ratchet or wrench for best results, but do not overtighten.
Takeaways
Anchor bolts are necessary for securing any connected objects.
The various anchor bolts are L-shaped anchor bolts, headed anchor bolts, swedge anchor bolts, and double end rods with the plate.
A split between two anchor bolts may cause them to come loose. If this occurs, they may come loose.
