The 1209M series consists of somewhat basic electronic motor controller models and yet very capable to undertake even the most demanding of traction or pump control roles. They work with voltages of 24 and to up to 72 volts, feature the plug braking system, have an IP rating of 54, and they can be programmed as required by changing the speed, current limits, acceleration rates, and PWM modulation settings through the Curtis 1313 handheld programmer tool. The self-protection systems in place ensure a robust and reliable operation under all conditions, with under/overvoltage cutbacks guarding the critical parts of the controller, a sophisticated MOSFET short-circuit protection system, continuous battery voltage monitoring, and electrical isolation to the heat sink. Finally, there is a short-time (5 seconds) boost feature that allows the seamless driving over ramps with auto-adjustment of the throttle, and an advanced energy saving system that reduces battery losses thus reducing fugitive heat and increasing the life of all components exponentially. The 1209 series is certified according to the requirements of UL583, EN12895 and IP54 standards.
