It is a 36/48V 300A controller with 0-5kΩ throttle input. The Curtis PMC 1204-412 offers smooth, silent, and efficient control of the speed and torque of the motor on a wide variety of electric utility and industrial vehicles.

The Curtis 1204-412 DC Motor Controller does not operate at 48V and is for use only on vehicles with a series-wound motor. Before installing the 1204-412 Controller, you must make sure that the vehicle motor uses a 0-5kΩ Throttle Input, specifically in the case of Club Car golf carts. The early Club Car carts used 0-5kΩ throttle input and the later ones switched to 5k-0Ω input. Using a motor controller with the wrong throttle input will cause unexpected acceleration and may result in serious injury. Here’s how to know which one is right for you:

1. If your original controller had a black, metal case, this controller is suitable for your cart.
2. If your original controller had a silver metal case, this controller is not compatible with your cart.
